Neurological / Post-Stroke Recovery Program
This program is designed to assist patients who have suffered from a neurological event, such as a stroke, head/spinal cord injuries, or other neurological disabilities (e.g., multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, etc.). Rehabilitation efforts focus on restoring an individual’s level of independence in performing daily activities, such as self-care/mobility, speech and swallowing functions.

Wound Care Program
The nursing team is specially trained in the treatment of hard-to-heal wounds, such as pressure ulcers or bedsores, diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, venous statis or arterial ulcers resulting from poor circulation. This program provides regular monitoring and appropriate care for wounds, including topical treatments, dressing changes and prescribed oral medications, such as antibiotics and pain relievers. Also included is dietary assessment and medical nutrition therapy by a registered dietitian.

Telemedicine Services
Eliminating the need to travel long distances for specialty care or follow-up visits, telemedicine provides real-time interaction between the patient and physician or specialist for routine appointments and checkups. The virtual consultation takes place in a private area room within the center and includes the assistance of a qualified clinical staff member.

Orthopedic Recovery Program
Our Orthopedic Recovery Program helps patients who have sustained an orthopedic injury or disability, such as surgery, fracture, joint replacement, degenerative condition (e.g., arthritis) and other musculoskeletal conditions. Through therapy, patients work toward improving their physical mobility, restoring their levels of fitness and regaining independence in daily living skills.

Rehabilitation Program
At Gibson Health & Rehabilitation we offer rehabilitative therapy for either a short-term stay or during long-term care. Therapists work one-on-one with the patient focusing on assisting them achieve and maintain their desired, individual level of functioning as appropriate.

Palliative Care
Patients in our palliative care program have a team of caregivers working together to address the individual medical, daily-living and social work needs of each patient. As the palliative care team oversees and monitors the patient’s physical health and symptoms, the patient will receive disease-specific and pain-management medications to keep them as comfortable as possible.
